The challenge
BestEY is the digital sibling of Hull Mag, sitting under Dalton Spire's thirty-year local-publishing portfolio. The team wanted to ship a weekly community bulletin covering East Yorkshire's events, restaurants, and small-business stories — but assembling each issue by hand from scattered sources was eating the editor's week and capping growth before it started.
What we did
8Caps built an AI-assisted drafting pipeline that gathers the local sources Jane already trusted, hands a structured draft to Claude for tone and edits, and queues each issue in Mailchimp for the editor's final review and send. Make.com orchestrates the whole flow on a weekly schedule. The editorial team spends its time on the stories that matter, not on plumbing.
